We are fueling Africa's Energy Transformation

Today, most Tanzanians rely on charcoal and imported petroleum. Yet beneath the ground lies an abundant, underutilized natural gas resource—
cleaner, cheaper, and local.

Rashal Energies is developing the infrastructure, platform, and partnerships to power Tanzania’s shift to natural gas.

While delivering climate and health impact at scale.
Rashal’s clean energy platform helps fight deforestation, stabilizes fuel costs, and saves lives lost to household smoke—one of Tanzania’s deadliest and most overlooked threats.

Pipeline
Building and operating Tanzania’s first privately owned natural gas pipeline.
Rashal's 20+ km pipeline connects Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC)’s gas source in Kisemvule to Mbagala, passing through Pwani and Dar es Salaam’s major transport and industrial hubs. TPDC granted exclusive permitting to Rashal Energies along this route. All licenses and regulatory approvals have been obtained, including consent from 75 local authorities along the pipeline path.
Stations
Constructing CNG fueling stations for public transport and private vehicles.
The pipeline serves Rashal’s owned and operated gas stations in Mbagala, Temeke region. The Mbagala mother station has a capacity of 5 MMscf per day, and it will serve four daughter stations located in Kigamboni, Bunju, Buza and Kibaha. These stations will transform CNG access across Dar Es Salaam. Current public CNG stations in Tanzania experience 6-hour wait times, highlighting an urgent need for expanded fueling capacity. Beyond refuel, the stations will offer converter installation and other automative services. Rashal Station services will launch January of 2026. Rashal plans to construct 1 additional station per year until 2030.
